Gratitude, Day 60: I am grateful for new friendships

New friendships are awesome. This is because I love meeting new people and getting to know them.

Life doesn’t suck…
because of new friendships

Today we had a new person start at the co-working space we work from. It’s fun having a new person in the space and finding out about them. Finding someone that you get along well with is always a bonus.

It always amazes me how small a world we live in. Our new friend was telling us about the tiny house she lives in. When I asked where it was, it turned out that it was on our road. Coincidentally, not only was it on the same road where we live, but we’d actually been shown around the home a year ago.

The materials to build the house had come off the farm that we live on and we’d been told about the house. As a result, we were invited to visit it and shown around. We were shown a beautiful tiny house made from natural organic materials. The owner’s father showed us the house so we never actually met the people who own it.

Once we had found this connection, we found a series of other interesting small town connections that we share. A number of people that we know from similar circles. We chatted for a good time. We were able to have multiple interesting conversations.

Another friend whom we have known about six months was visiting today as well. She has been living a few hours away so we haven’t caught up for a while. Today we got to catch up and talk. I love when conversation is easy. You can just talk without worrying about who or how the conversation is going to be kept alive.

New friendships are fun and exciting. I’m grateful for new friends and meeting like-minded people who are easy to talk to.
