When I do a job I do great work. I won’t do anything less than the best that I can do. Yesterday when I was wiring up my friend’s camper battery I did the best job I could and I was proud of it.
Life doesn’t suck…
because I do great work
If I’m going to do a job it has to be the best job I can do. I put in the utmost effort to make sure that a job is of high quality and that I would be proud to tell anyone that I’d done it.
Yesterday when wiring the house battery for my friend’s camper I made sure that the job looked like something Toyota would have done. I followed the routing of existing wiring, everything was tied neatly and there were no wires left showing.
I wasn’t being paid to do the job, but I was still going to do it like I was being paid top dollar. The finished job was something that I’ve boasted about multiple times in the last two days. I was truly proud of my job.
It’s important to me that every job I do is something that I want to boast about. I firmly believe the saying “if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well”. I’ve worked with and watched tradesmen work who subscribe to this ethos. I surround myself with people who do things to the best of their ability.
Why wouldn’t you do something to the best of your ability if you’re going to bother doing it? I’m proud of my good work. I’m glad that I have this pride and I am grateful that I do great work.
