Productive Saturdays are great. I got so much done today and it felt really good to achieve so much.
I’m home alone for the weekend. The rest of the family is away so I didn’t really need to be anywhere at any certain time. I decided to make the most of it and planned a day full of jobs I wanted to get done.
Life doesn’t suck…
because of productive Saturdays
Saturdays usually start with a trip to the markets to get meat for the week. Today was no different and I managed to get everything I wanted which was good.
I took my haul of food from the market back to work and put it in our work fridge for the morning. I had told myself that I’d work until lunchtime to get some jobs out of the way so that next week isn’t too busy.
It wasn’t until one pm that I managed to leave, but it felt good knowing that I had got a bunch of stuff done that was going to make my life easier. I’d told a friend that I would help him with some wiring on his camper after lunch, so headed for Mum and Dad’s where all my tools are.
We spent two hours working on getting his secondary battery wired up. I pride myself on doing a good job in anything I do and ended up with an outcome we were both really happy with. It was a nice tidy job and you could barely see where my wiring ran.
Once that was done I was able to do some work on my own car. I’d last worked on it over Christmas and something had gone wrong. This required a time-consuming fix that I didn’t want to deal with at the time. Today was a great chance to get the job done. I ended up getting it all sorted and was really happy with the outcome.
All in all, it was a very productive day, especially for a Saturday and I achieved everything that I’d wanted to achieve. I’m grateful for productive Saturdays like this and look forward to more of them.
