I have a wonderful fiancee. I’m a pretty lucky guy and we have a pretty awesome relationship. We’ve got a pretty good thing going on.
Life doesn’t suck…
because I have a wonderful fiancee
I’ve thought I was in good relationships before. Thinking that I’d found someone I’d spend the rest of my life with. Turns out that it wasn’t ever this good.
They say when you know that you know. I was cynical about this. I thought that this was just a thing people say. People also say that when you’re not looking you will find someone.
Both these things have come true for me in my current relationship. I was fresh out of a relationship that had proven it wasn’t the right one for me. My fiancee contacted me because of the similarities in our jobs and a community that I run.
I was at a stage in my life where I thought that being single for a while would be a good idea. Some time to spend alone doing my own thing. I couldn’t have been more wrong. “Fate” had different plans for me.
My new relationship was easy. I thought past relationships were easy. This relationship was different. It was truly easy. We didn’t worry about who we were around each other. It was just us being us.
We don’t fight. I think a fight happens when you don’t listen to each other. We realise when we need to listen to each other and we stop and talk. This makes things easier. We respect each other and can talk openly about our feelings.
I’m eternally grateful for my wonderful fiancee and the relationship we share. I’m truly a lucky guy.
