Lazy Fridays are awesome. If you read yesterday’s post you’ll know that I worked on my public holiday which fell on a Thursday so that I could take today off instead.
Life doesn’t suck…
because of lazy Fridays
Today has been a nice relaxing day. Days off during the week are awesome. Especially when you’re having a day off and other people are working.
I slept in, had breakfast, then went to town to run some errands. We cruised around some shops and bought a couple of things, then did some food shopping before coming home.
Usually, weekends are already planned and there are a bunch of things that we’re trying to get done while we’re not working. These extra days off seem to fit around these schedules and feel like true holidays.
My fianceƩ had to work this afternoon and evening and I was going to do the parental duties. I watched YouTube videos while I waited for school to finish before heading into town to do pick up.
Once home my fianceĆ©s daughter and I spent a couple of hours floating around the pool. We tried introducing our puppy to the pool, but he wasn’t too keen on being wet. We resorted to floating him around the pool in his own little plastic pool.
Dinner was a pizza date. I don’t think we spoke more than a few words while we devoured a pizza between us. We have a favourite cajun chicken pizza that we get all the time and so it was a treat to sit down and share it.
We even managed to squeeze some Playstation in before bed. All in all a successful day off and some great bonding time. I’m grateful to be able to have lazy Fridays like this. I love that this is possible for me.
