There are certain bonuses to being self-employed. I’ve just gone back to work after a nice break for Christmas and New Years.
Life doesn’t suck…
because of the bonuses of being self-employed
It’s amazing being able to choose when your holidays are. This year I worked up until Christmas Eve, then worked again between Christmas and New Years Eve. I was then able to take a solid week off work and relax. It was amazing how relaxed I felt. I had a good rest and got to spend time with my family.
Today I went back to work. I had a couple of things I needed to get to and thought it was a good time to go back. I’m planning to take another week or so off later in the month. I love having the flexibility to take holidays when I need them and structure my work hours around what I have to do.
I’m able to take a day off without asking permission and as long as I get my work done I can work when I want. If I have friends coming to visit I can go and have a three hour lunch with them and then come back and work until after dinner if need be.
When I need more money I do more work. If I have enough money to last me I can take a break. I’m in charge of my own destiny and don’t have someone else deciding these things for me. I can build my business up to earn more and more money as I go. I set my own limits.
The bonuses of being self-employed make it an easy choice for me. I’m grateful for my self-employment.
