It’s pretty exciting when your hard work pays off. I’ve been working really hard on a bunch of jobs over the last couple of months. Over the last week, this hard work all seems to be paying off.
Life doesn’t suck…
because my hard work pays off.
I’ve had a wave of payments coming in over the last week. I hadn’t realised how much work I’d been doing recently until the money started coming in. Over the last week, almost every time I checked my bank account someone else had paid for something.
This isn’t a boast about how much money I have, it’s just me being grateful that I have got into a rhythm. I’ve said before that it’s been a hard year for my business. Now that things are getting good I’m hugely grateful that it’s all working out.
Being self-employed isn’t as easy as working for someone else. You don’t get paid leave. You are in charge of making sure that you have cashflow. One of the distinct advantages is that the harder you work, the more money you can make. It’s a great end to a hard year having payments start to come in and it feels like things are really starting to work out.
Hopefully, I can maintain this momentum into next year and my business will get more and more successful. If I manage to do that then the next year of business will be my best ever. I’m excited to take some time out over the next couple of weeks to look at how I run my business and optimise it for next year.
I’m grateful that this year has ended well, but I think that next year is going to be even better.
