Gratitude, Day 28: I am grateful for the love of the people around me.

This time of year is a reminder of the love of the people around me. I get to spend time with the people I am closest too. We are really lucky to have these people around us.

Life doesn’t suck…
because I have the love of the people around me.

I spent a good chunk of today mowing and weed eating the garden of the house we will soon live in. We are very fortunate to have this place to live. Because of how lucky we are to have been presented with this opportunity I’m going to work really hard to make it amazing for the people closest to me.

The garden hasn’t had much attention over the last couple of years so it was very overgrown and took a lot of weedeating. It made me feel really good doing the work and then I got a lot of pleasure from showing the fruits of my labour to the people I love.

Making something better through hard work is really satisfying. Knowing I did this work makes me feel good about myself. I’m glad to be able to do this work to help and support the people around me.

This evening we spent dinner time with my family. Three generations eating together and catching up. Almost like a low-stress pre-Christmas get together. I’ve been really busy the last couple of months, so to have some time to stop and spend time catching up with the people I love is great.

I’m grateful to have all these people around me that I love and enjoying their love. It’s a great time of year to spend this time together and enjoy each other’s company.
