Gratitude, Day 25: I am grateful for the light at the end of the tunnel.

I can feel the light at the end of the tunnel approaching. I’m coming to the end of the hardest year I’ve had in business. I’ve learnt a lot and I’m looking forward to the next year because I feel like it’s going to be good.

Life doesn’t suck…
because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s a huge relief when things feel like they are coming right and getting easier. I’m really tired and really ready for a break, but I feel like things are all going to be okay.

This year has had a bit of a domino effect that all stemmed from me thinking that I needed to line up lots of work. This happened about October last year, I lined up lots of jobs and one rather big one that I started in late January went hugely over-budget and beyond schedule.

This lead to other jobs that were booked in pushing out and not getting as much time as they needed. I ended up with a long series of jobs that all stacked up. This left me highly stressed and spending a lot of the year playing catch up with work and my finances.

Just this week I have finally felt like everything is coming under control. My finances are looking much better. I feel like I may be on top of my work and I feel like I am in control of my destiny and being proactive instead of reactive.

I’m really excited to see what the next year brings and I feel like it’s going to be a very good one. I’m grateful that I have made it through the year and I’m super grateful that the light at the end of the tunnel appears to be glowing brightly.

I’ve learnt a lot this year and look forward to implementing it next year and improving my business as much as possible.
