I’m pretty lucky. I met my amazing fiancée when I was least expecting it and they love me as much as I love them.
Life doesn’t suck…
because I have an amazing fiancée.
When I first met my fiancée I was fresh out of a relationship. They had added me on Facebook after seeing a newspaper article about me and a Facebook networking group I had started. I wasn’t expecting anything and thought it would be interesting to meet them because they had complementary skills that would work with my business.
We went to lunch to get to know each other and have been inseparable ever since. I’ve always heard that you find the right person when you’re not looking. I wasn’t looking for a relationship, I was a week out of my last relationship and I wanted to take some time out for myself and work things out. Fate had other plans.
We dated for consecutive Fridays for a couple of weeks. For the first six weeks, we made out in carparks after dates. I don’t think we even went to each other’s houses in the first six weeks. Eventually, I convinced them that I wasn’t that bad and they agreed to call it a relationship.
Three years later and we’re getting married, we are looking into getting a house together and we work from the same office. I’m extremely grateful for the relationship that we have and the love that we have. I wake up in the morning and look at them and feel like the luckiest person in the world. I’m super lucky to get to spend the rest of my life with this person and very very grateful.
