Gratitude, Day 77: I am grateful that I never stop learning

I never stop learning. I’m constantly reading, watching videos and listening to podcasts. I think that this is really important for anyone. We didn’t just stop learning when we finished school. We went to school to learn how to learn.

Life doesn’t suck…
because I never stop learning

I love finding new information. I’ll happily spend all my spare time taking in new information. Whether it’s a book or a magazine or an online article. As I write this I’ve got a YouTube video playing that is about exciting new changes to a piece of software that I use for work.

I have believed for a long time in the proverb “knowledge is power”. The more I know, the more I have at my disposal. I can perform better in my job and my life with more knowledge. It saves time to already know something and not have to go and do research.

I’m also very picky about my information. I want to know that the source that I get my information from is valid and the information is true. I like to think of myself as a critical thinker. Each piece of information I gather I make sure that the person sharing the information knows what they’re talking about and isn’t spreading misinformation or incorrect information.

I like to get information from both sides of an argument. There are always two sides to every story. I want to hear both of these sides if someone is presenting an argument. This makes me feel that I am being informed rather than just being fed the information that the source wants me to have.

I’m grateful that I have a thirst for information and that I never stop learning. This is my way of ensuring that I’m always improving my knowledge.
